This week’s mac techmail was Get cross-platform remote access via LogMeIn and your Web browser which is a really interesting remote login system. With it I was able to control my OS X workstation from a Fedora box, from within Firefox. The downside is that I couldn’t control my Fedora box from OS X (you can control a Windows box supposedly, but I did not try it). It’s a neat way of controlling your system when you’re not home in a pinch. A little slow, but still faster than I would have expected considering this is all coming through the browser.
