This week’s Linux techmail is How to set up WebDAV hosting on Apache which looks at how to setup your Apache server for use as a WebDAV server. This was a tricky one for me as I’d tried it before and couldn’t get one of my applications that allowed syncing via WebDAV (OmniFocus for the mac) to work properly, but with some digging I finally did it and this was the setup I used. Works extremely well, and notes some extra security precautions to keep your data protected, such as password protection via htaccess and wrapping it up in SSL.
