This past week’s TechMail was Setting up a dynamic DNS service part 1: named which discusses setting up a local intranet dynamic DNS service. This is the first of two parts: the first deals with named, the second deals with dhcpd. I was put in a position where this had to be done for a client and used my own local network as a testing ground and after quite a bit of mucking around I finally got it, and thought it would make for a great two-parter for TechRepublic, so here it is.
