This is a sweet little machine… 1U opteron 146 (2GHz). Only comes with 512MB stock, but I’m putting 2GB of RAM in it, and two 300GB SATA II drives (acting as a RAID1 mirror). Comes with two gigabit ethernet cards (forcedeth and tg3) and uses sata_nv.

Looking forward to putting this puppy up next week. This is going to replace my server at the colo (handles linsec.ca, annvix.org, vmlinuz.ca, etc.) and I think it’ll be a pretty decent upgrade. The current machine is an AMD Athlon64 3200+ with 512MB RAM (always meant to upgrade the RAM) and some dying HDDs… =)

Sun has some pretty sweet hardware out there and the sunfire x2100 is pretty good bang for the buck, considering the form factor. And it runs Annvix flawlessly.
