This week’s TechMail is Listen to music with open source Banshee which is a brief introduction to the Banshee music player. I actually quite liked the player, despite it not being able to connect to my iTunes library (which I had hoped it would do). Was also a little irked that it couldn’t export the library to be listened to from iTunes, but whatever… I suppose I could setup an actual dedicated DAAP server to handle that if I was feeling inclined.
I did see a comment on that article that indicated using Banshee with a 5th gen iPod is not a good idea.. hosed every file on the iPod. =(
